Ulysse Nardin Freak X Carb 2303-270/CARB Full Set with Two Straps

Introduced in 2019, the Freak X brought Ulysse Nardin’s unconventional Freak concept into a more approachable, everyday format. The original Freak debuted in 2001 with its movement serving as the time display in place of a traditional dial and hands. The Freak X retained this distinctive rotating architecture while adding automatic winding and a conventional crown for winding and setting.

This reference features a 43mm case combining Carbonium components with black PVD-coated titanium and a sapphire exhibition caseback. Its in-house UN-230 automatic caliber provides a stated 72-hour power reserve and incorporates a silicon escapement. The flying carousel rotates once per hour, with its central bridge indicating the minutes while a separate rotating indicator displays the hours. The watch comes as a full box-and-papers set with the currently fitted strap shown in the photographs and an additional brand-new, unworn Ulysse Nardin alligator strap.

The watch is in overall very nice condition. The case presents especially well, showing only light signs of careful wear upon close inspection. Light scratches are present on the buckle, consistent with prior use. The additional Ulysse Nardin alligator strap remains unworn.
