Patek Philippe Calatrava 7122/200G-001 18K White Gold Diamond Bezel 33mm

Introduced at Baselworld 2016, the Calatrava Ref. 7122 “Timeless White” brought Patek Philippe’s monochromatic white design theme to the traditional Calatrava. Its sleek case takes inspiration from the Ref. 96 of 1932, but Patek developed a new geometry in which the elongated lugs visually flow into the case and the diamond-set sections taper toward their tips. The manufacture specifically noted the additional craftsmanship required to polish the case surfaces where they meet the diamonds, making the construction itself an important part of the watch’s design.

The all-white execution extends well beyond its color palette. Patek specifies the 33mm case in 18K rhodiumed white gold, surrounding a white lacquered and polished dial that the manufacture states takes several days to produce under rigorously controlled clean-room conditions. The applied 18K gold hour markers are decorated with Patek’s distinctive hobnail, or Clous de Paris, pattern, creating the small pyramid-like facets visible around the dial. The factory bezel contains 44 individually selected brilliant-cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.52 carat. Inside is the manually wound caliber 215 PS, whose hand-finished bridges, chamfered edges, wheels, and other components can be viewed through the sapphire display caseback. The watch is fitted to an original Patek Philippe white alligator leather strap and is offered as watch only.

Condition Report: The watch is in overall very nice pre-owned condition and presents cleanly on the wrist. The rhodiumed white gold case shows light surface wear consistent with careful use, along with a scratch on the side of the case extending through approximately the 9-to-6 o’clock area that is not especially noticeable during normal wear. The original alligator strap shows signs of prior use but remains well presented overall. Please review the photographs closely for the most complete representation of condition.
