Cartier Tonneau Jumbo

The Cartier Tonneau Jumbo is one of Cartier’s most distinctive case designs, blending elegant proportions with an unmistakably Art Deco-inspired silhouette. Our example, dating to the 1990s, is crafted in 18k yellow gold and features the iconic elongated tonneau-shaped case measuring approximately 26mm x 46mm (lug to lug), giving it a strong wrist presence while maintaining the refined profile expected from a classic Cartier dress watch.

The watch showcases a beautiful silvered guilloché dial with bold Roman numerals and blued steel hands, creating the timeless aesthetic that has made the Tonneau such a sought-after design among collectors. The dial displays light surface marks, while the case remains in overall very nice condition with strong lines and attractive proportions. The hand is believed to have been replaced at some point during the watch’s life.

Powered by the Cartier Cal. 78-1 manual wind movement, the watch offers the charm and interaction of a traditional hand-wound Cartier dress piece. It is paired with a brown leather strap and gold plated buckle, completing the classic presentation.
